Anaïs Cresp's Idea That Changed Everything
The family's connection to the perfume capital of the world undoubtedly influenced its creation but the the inspiration for Akro didn't begin in Grasse.
While living in London's Ladbroke Grove, Anaïs Cresp became fascinated by the aromas that surrounded everyday life: coffee shops opening each morning, bakeries filling the streets with warm pastry, smoky bars, late-night celebrations and the excitement of discovering new places. She realised these experiences created emotional connections just as powerful as traditional perfume notes.
She took the idea to her father.
Together they transformed those everyday pleasures into a collection of fragrances unlike anything else on the market. The name Akro comes from the French word accro - meaning "addicted" - perfectly capturing the idea behind the brand.
